About the event

FoodHack London Meetup for entrepreneurs, professionals and food enthusiasts to network and hear from food industry speakers.

Whether you're just starting your food business, looking to connect with startups to invest in or want to network with other like-minded professionals - this event is for you.

For this month's meetup, we will be focusing on how to go about the fundraising process for your project. The event is free to attend, but you must register on Eventbrite in advance:

Food: You are welcome to bring samples of your food & drink products to share during the networking at the end.

No samples can be sent in advance. Please only bring them on the evening and nothing that needs cooking. A small amount of fridge and freezer space will be available free of charge.

Please don't attempt to sell any drinks as the venue is providing a pop up bar with beer & soft drinks.

Guest Speakers:

Anna Gishko: Anna is an early-stage VC tech investor with passion for human and planetary health. She is a mentor at Alchemist, IndieBio by SOSV, FemTech Lab. She launched an accelerator for Emerging Markets with top YC founders as mentors and managed an investment portfolio in FO with 2 exits.

Hollie Andrews: Hollie is an Equity Fundraising Manager at Crowdcube where she advises B2B and B2C businesses on the benefits of being community-backed and ways to create a successful equity crowdfund. She is an advocate for diversity in Venture Financing, a Newton Venture Fellow and passionate about mobilising the innovation community to create social, economic and environmental impact.

Piotr Bukanski: Piotr is a Senior Investment Associate at Beringea. He is responsible for sourcing and analysing new deals, due diligence on potential investments and monitoring and advising portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Beringea, Piotr was an Associate in the EMEA Private Capital Markets Team at BofA Merrill Lynch, and prior to that, Investment Banking Associate in the EMEA Consumer & Retail Group, where he initiated Food Tech coverage in 2018.

Martin Holden-White: Martin is the Founder and CEO of Grubby, the UK's highest rated recipe kit that happens to be 100% plant-based. Grubby's D2C subscription business launched in May 2020, having originally started out life as a B2B service for offices before covid came along.

They've since scaled the business to £5m+ revenues with a customer base of over 50,000, having raised circa £5m to date through angels, VC and crowdfunding. Grubby is also a certified B Corp and they recently won the Startup 100's social impact award.
